Note - all Boarding house rooms are made up with blankets and pillows.  If you prefer your own your welcome too but they are provided.

#GeekChic..
In 2017  we will be hosting the camp in the Term 2/3 holidays break instead of January.  ​
This programme is designed to cater for Y9-13 girls.
Camp Dates: Wed 12 July - Fri 14 July 2017

REGISTRATION are now closed.
​All GI8 camps and Maker clubs are hosted by St Cuthbert's College as part of the wider #GirlsInnov8 initiatives.

We are able to confirm the opportunity for THREE girls in Y11-13 2017 to attend the #GirlsInnov8 Camp as a fully sponsored attendee.    ​
One place is offered by  #GI8 Patron - New Zealand Software Association.

​Two places offered by #GI8 Patron - Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

​To be eligible you must be attending a Decile 1-4 school in 2017 and be studying Technology this year. This does require a representative from your current school to complete a section in support of your application.

  • mBot Arduino robotics challenge

  • IOS Sphero maze
  • Evening offsite group activity, challenges and eating out (Residential attendees only)
Thursday, 13th July 2017:
  • Maker Day – student centred, self designed activity (examples below)
    • Making with Tinkercad
    • Prepare your 3D object for printing
    • Laser cutter projects – eg. jewellery
    • Lighting solution design - multimaterials
    • App Development
    • Robotics - mBots extension
    • Arduino & eTextiles
    • Gaming and MOD development
  • Microsoft HoloLens expereince
  • Evening activity - Woman in IT Talks, FAMILY FEUD and pizza  (Residential attendees only)
Friday, 14th July 2017:
  • A choice between streams
    • Media Design School – character design drawing
    • Media Design School - Game development
    • OR
    • Game development - CONSTRUCT 2
    • Augmented reality – Aurasma and google cardboard
    • Adobe spark software

2016 details
MissBit (Y1-4)  and TechTweens (Y5-8)
​
This program will be designed to cater for St Cuthbert's College  Y1-8 girls.
2 days of exploring technology with other young and interested girls looking at robotics, coding, gaming and electronics. 
It is non-residential so will run within school h
ours 9am-3.30pm.
Participants will need to bring their own morning tea and lunch.
TechTweens will need their own notebooks to complete the coding projects.
